I am a php/mysql web developer from Leeds with an interest in all things web/technology related. I support Chelsea FC and I'm often to be found scrutinising my fantasy team on the premier league's website.

I have a BSC (I.T Studies) and MSC (E-Commerce) from the University of Glamorgan the last of which I completed in 2003.

I also currently run the neXus website which is an MMO guild/community site for a bunch of likeminded people who have been gaming together online for a good number of years. As you can tell I have an interest in online gaming of the Massively Multi player variety and have done since 2001 having played various online games since then. I find it's a good way to unwind my brain after coding all day.

Below is my employment history and projects I have worked on.

Quarry Court Group (August 2011 - Present)

I am currently employed as a web developer at Quarry Court Group working on various internal/external sites and projects. The main bulk of my work currently is with oyyy.co.uk a consumer electronics site.

Advent Data Ltd (January 2007 – August 2011)

I worked at Advent Data Ltd as group web developer working on adventdata.co.uk and oyyy.co.uk before Oyyy was purchased by Quarry Court Group and my employment continued with the new owners.

PC Specialist Ltd (June 2004 – January 2007)

I previously worked at PC Specialist Ltd as their sole web developer. During my time there I developed the e-commerce functionality for the site going from taking orders via email and eBay to a fully functioning bespoke e-commerce site. I created a custom PC builder complete with a back office area to manage all aspects of the site. The back office system had the following functionality : -

  • Management of the PC builder creating new builders and controlling product relationships
  • Manage all product and stock information
  • A fully functioning user area allowing users to manage orders; create sub orders; returns and use the in built ticket system
  • Order process control and notification
  • Full reporting functionality

Other Projects

  • Hitrights.com - Integration and modification of e-post into the members area. Creation of site maintenance CRON scripts.
  • parentingtime.net - Modified my an on site message script e-post I had written as part of a university project to fit their requirements and helped integrate it into into their site.
  • deltabravo.net (SPARC) - Modified an on site message script e-post I had written as part of a university project to fit their specific site requirements.
