- A database driven front end to replace the existing file based ordering process which i had written earlier. Created a new product database which can be managed from the back office area of the site. Front end order forms can be created complete with categories and products, all determined by the type of form being created.
- Orders, quotes and user information can all be managed from the back office, as can returns and invoices.
- Customers can log into their own account management area, to change their details, order quotes and manage other account areas.
- On site message facility which can be used by both customers and staff to communicate problems or queries.
- CRON jobs to handle database backups and general maintenance of redundant data. CRON tab created using Putty over an SSH connection
- Search pages to find user/order information quickly and easily
- Implemented finance and credit/debit card payments
- System to allow preset PC specifications to be saved and called up via front end links
- RMA system to create and manage return requests
- Quote to order system
- Order status management, allows orders to be moved through the order process, complete with notes and dates for each step
- Order archive allowing completed orders to be archived and still be accessible by customers and admin. Orders can also be retrieved from the archive if needed.
- Work with HTML and CSS layout on both front and back end areas of the site
